About This Project

After a fire completely destroyed the original Mystic Mountain Ski Lodge at Nemacolin Woodlands in February 2012, emphasis was put towards fast tracking a new building in its place that could be open prior to ski season in 2012. Martik Brothers was selected as the General Contractor to oversee civil and building construction on the fast tracked design-build project. We worked with the owner and designers to ensure the project would meet the demanding schedule. The 25,000 square foot, 2-story building includes a stone veneer, metal panel, and curtain wall exterior with structural steel and timber framing. The building houses year round adventure activities, including the ski rental shop, locker rooms, restaurants, bowling alleys, arcade, 2-story open lounge area, and exterior patios. The project started in May 2012 and was operational in December 2012.
