About This Project

This 5,000 SF project is a new pre-engineered metal building that was constructed adjacent to the existing Hitatchi/ABB facility. The new building consists of drilled caissons, grade beams on-grade, split face CMU, and two 5-ton overhead cranes to assist with new testing and research for its operations. The project also required multiple elements to be tied into the existing facility, such as MEP systems and the PEMB structure itself. Hitatchi Energy USA plans to use this building to relocate established R+D functions from the existing building to a new, dedicated area.
